Single tooth dental implants replace one missing tooth using a titanium post placed in the jawbone that supports a custom crown, restoring function and appearance much like a natural tooth.

The implant post is placed into the jawbone and allowed to heal through osseointegration. Once stable, an abutment and custom crown are attached, completing the restoration. Your care team will guide you through each step and explain what to expect.

Most patients report manageable discomfort. Local anesthesia and other comfort options are used during surgery, and mild soreness or swelling afterward is part of normal healing, typically improving after a few days.

Initial soft tissue healing usually occurs within a few weeks, but full bone integration can take several months. Your provider will monitor your progress and let you know when you’re ready for the final crown.
